Killam Awards

Killam Teaching Prize
I received the UBC Killam Teaching Prize in recognition of excellence and innovation in university teaching. This award reflects my commitment to inquiry-driven, student-centered learning and my work designing engaging educational experiences across digital, immersive, and postdigital learning environments.

Killam Faculty Research Fellowship
I was awarded a UBC Killam Faculty Research Fellowship to support my research on postdigital learner agency and the development of the edited volume Postdigital Learner Agency: Navigating Hybrid and Algorithmically Mediated Education. During this fellowship, I expanded international collaborations with colleagues at the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Research in Digital Education and the Edinburgh Futures Institute. The fellowship supported focused writing, research synthesis, and interdisciplinary collaboration examining how learners navigate AI-mediated, hybrid, and digitally entangled educational environments.
